  • How does PLANT B Egg taste?

    Our PLANT B Egg is similar to a traditional egg in every way; the texture, the mouthfeel, the binding, the browning... it's all there! Lupin tastes neutral, making it suitable for adding your own spices and garnishes to it. It is also possible to replace egg in many recipes, both sweet and savoury. Suggestion: add black salt to your PLANT B scrambled eggs, then it tastes exactly like a traditional egg with salt. Enjoy your meal!

  • How do I prepare PLANT B Egg?

    Heat a knob of vegetable butter or oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Pour the PLANT B Egg into the pan and sprinkle with some salt and pepper. Fry for 2 minutes and then scramble for 5 minutes Use herbs and spices to your liking and garnish with fresh greens or veggies on your toast. Or use your scrambles in your favorite salad, a stir fry, orrrr.. whatever you like!

    PLANT B Egg is made from 100% natural ingredients. Our years of experience in the food industry, combined with the most advanced microbiological techniques (patent pending) make it possible to market a completely natural product without preservatives and with very minimal processing. The ingredients include lupine flour, sunflower oil, water, sodium citrate (acidity regulator), gellan (thickening agent), our innovative yeast and herbs. It contains no preservatives, added sugar, gluten or soy and has a low fat and carbohydrate content and is GMO Free.

    Everything we do is sustainable! To start with the main ingredient Lupin, it practically fertilizes itself by the high nitrogen production in the Lupin creates. This is also called green fertilization. In addition, the production of PLANT B Egg results in 98.6% less water consumption, 86.6% less CO2 emissions and requires 40% less land compared to a conventional chicken egg. The Lupin is sourced from Germany and production also takes place in Germany. This results in few transport kilometers and thus less CO2 emissions. Finally, the packaging is 100% recyclable.
