Vegan Apple Pie

Get started

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C bottom and top heat.
  • Line the bottom of a springform pan with baking paper.
  • Cream the margarine with the sugar, vanilla sugar and tonka bean.
  • Mix the flour and baking powder. Add to the foamy mixture together with the coconut milk and knead into a firm dough.
  • Pour the batter into the mould and smooth it out.
  • Peel and core the apples and cut into small cubes.
  • Spread the apples in the dough and press them lightly into the dough
  • Bake the cake in the oven on the middle shelf for about 45 minutes.
  • Test with chopsticks and bake a few minutes longer if necessary.
  • Remove the cake from the oven, sprinkle with sugar and leave to cool.
